A three storied building with total 12,658 sq. ft. carpet area with 6 well equipped laboratories, 4 lecture halls, one Library, one Seminar hall, and Office space for teaching and administrative staff.
The Indo-American Hospital, Chemmanakary is the Parent Hospital. The College is affiliated to Government Taluk Head Quarters Hospital, Vaikom, the Ernakulam Medical Centre, Vennala, Ernakulam and the Holy Ghost Hospital, Muttuchira.The College is run by Bahuleyan Charitable Foundation (BCF) a not-for- Profit Company established by Dr.Kumar Bahuleyan in 1993. The main objective of the Foundation, apart from running the Hospital and the Community Health Centre, is to establish and run educational institutions in medical, nursing and paramedical sectors, especially with a view to support women’s education and empowerment. The Founder, Dr.K.Bahuleyan, a Neuro surgeon in the US and hailing from this hamlet has donated his entire earnings and wealth to the Foundation for philanthropic activities. The Board of Directors of the Foundation is eminent personalities from different walks of life with a social commitment.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY.

The Mahatma Gandhi University (formerly Gandhiji University), with B+ accreditation of National Assessment and Accreditation Council, was established on 2nd October 1983, as the fifth University in the southern most State of Kerala, India.
Hiving off the territorial jurisdiction of the mother institution – University of Kerala, as per the Mahatma Gandhi University Act, 12 of 1985, enacted by the Kerala Legislature, the University caters to the development of higher education of Central Kerala. Higher learning in the Revenue Districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki, Kozhencherry, Mallappally, Thiruvalla and Ranni Taluks of the Pathanamthitta District and Kuttanad Taluk of the Alapuzha District comes.under the aegis of Mahatma Gandhi University.The University has a sprawling main Campus in Athirampuzha, a hamlet 13 Kms. off Kottayam town. Apart from this, the University has 8 Satellite Campuses at Pullarikunnu, Soorya Kalady Hills, Nattasserry, Puthuppally, Gandhinagar and Cheruvandoor in Kottayam, Thodupuzha and Nedumkandam in Idukki District, and Chuttippara in Pathanamthitta District.
