Davangere University is one of the newest affiliating type of colleges and universities in Karnataka.It has Davangere and Chitradurga zones as its legislation and located at Davangere. The city is on National Highway-4 at a distance of about 265Kms from Bangalore,the state capital of Karnaataka. Davangere became a individual area from Fifteenth Aug 1997,Till then ,it was part of Chitradurga District.Davangere University was a post-Graduate center of the University of Mysore from 1979 to 1987, and later operated as P..G Centre of Kuvempu University from 1987 to 2009. Davangere University was founded on Eighteenth Aug 2009 as designed out of Kuvempu University with a perspective to satisfy the academic ambitions of the people of this area. The primary university "Shivagangotri" is situated at about 12 Kms from Davangere and 60Kms from Chitadurga. Davangere University has exposed a unique academic information, developing quality in greater education to full complete the needs of the modern world and public ethnos of the area. it has 2 component institutions.1 independent greater education and 110 associated institutions providing graduate student and post-graduate course in various professions serving the academic needs of nearly 400000 students. The University has 5 ability namely Artistry, Science and Technology ,Commerce And Management, Technological innovation And Knowledge. It has 7 publish Graduate Division of studies & research on the primary Campus providing 8 publish Graduate & one P.G qualification programs. The Constituent university greater education of Excellent Artistry (established in the season 1964) as two Divisions and providing Bachelor's of Visible Artistry & Master of Excellent Artistry programs. The University will be presenting more number of inter disciplinary, job focused and public relevant programs from the academic season 2010-11. Natural, gentle and maintainable development focused charging of younger generation & human resources is the slogan of University. The University intents to have an comprehensive strategy and improve quality in greater education.
