Jaipuria College Kolkata Profile.
Seth Anandram Jaipuria College was founded by Sri Mangturam Jaipuria in memory of his illustrious father. It is housed in the famous Shovabazar Rajbari, a landmark in the cultural history of the city of Kolkata. The College, since its inception, has been associated with many eminent personalities who were involved in the Indian Nationalist Movement. One of them, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, inaugurated the College on December 22,1945.

In memory of the illustrious founder of the College, Late Seth Mangturam Jaipuria, the Trust and the Governing Body of the College award Gold Medals annually to the successfuI students who secure highest marks in the three disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce in the University Examinations.

Jaipuria College Kolkata Admission Procedures.
Students willing to take admission to different Courses of Undergraduate Studies may fill up admission form free of cost through online. The Start Date and End Date of the online admission will be notified later. In general, the admission process starts after publication of HS result of West Bengal Council of HS Education.
Candidates who passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent in 2009 and onwards are eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the different courses of studies provided he/ she has also passed in English having full marks of not less than 100, subject to fulfillment of other conditions as laid down in the University of Calcutta notifications for each year.

Jaipuria College Kolkata Admission Eligibility.
For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks, obtained at the pre-qualifying examination, shall be calculated by adding the marks in top four subjects in order of marks, secured by a candidate. However, marks in Compulsory Environment Education/ Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks (If the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks).
